Jackson walked into the night club, he was on a mission to right his wrong. He couldn't give Scarlet what she wanted, until he knew for sure.
(On the dark side, by John Cafferty blaring)
No more than 3 feet into the door and he was met by a vampire, he was tall and muscular. He looked as if he had been chiseled from stone and brought to life he was so perfectly built. He placed a finger in the middle of Jackson's chest, "No one here to help today, preacher's kid." He gave Jackson a little shove, "You need to leave."
The difference between this vampire and any other vampire, is Jackson knew him very well. Too well. Jackson responded by gently swatting his hand away, "Guess some things never change, huh , Garrett." Garrett had been a bully in High School, and apparently still a bully. Garrett was about to push back when they both saw a figure in the shadows motion with two fingers for Garrett to back off, "Some other time Church." He stepped back a little.
Jackson smiled cockily at Garrett, as he moved around him he stopped briefly to smooth out Garrett's collar, "There ya go honey," he taunted as he walked away from Garrett and into the shadows.
He was met by a small, bald, male waiter at a door that led to a back room, "Rogue is expecting you." He said as he offered Jackson a drink. Jackson contemplated it, but chose to pass, "No thanks Ralph. No offense, but I still don't trust you." He smiled in what was a forced smile, and went straight for the door.
As he entered the room the cigar smoke about knocked him down. He reached up with a hand to fan the smoke from his nostrils and mouth so he could speak, "Rogue." He stood waiting for the man to turn around.
The chair spun around revealing a very well dressed man. His 3 piece suit and icy glare reminded Jack of the old mob movies. Rogue motioned for Jack to sit down as he put out his cigar, "Have you changed your mind, son?" His voice was deep and husky.
Jackson nodded, "Yes I have. How much for the package?"
Rogue didn't like how hasty he was, "Patience. We'll discuss that in a moment But first I've got a question." Rogue got in his desk and pulled out a Manila envelope, "Does she know?" He asked as he laid it on his desk.
Jackson shook his head, "Nope. But if he's alive as I suspected, she should."
Rogue handed him the envelope, "Fool." Rogue knew this could destroy the very thing Jaxkaon was trying to protect, but it was none of his business. His guys were just bounties, not baby-sitters or counselors, "$3000."
Jackson handed it to him, and left the club to find a spot to see for himself first.
